Mt Buninyong South Walk

Formed from an extinct volcano, Mt Buninyong, 745m above sea level, is a major feature in the region located 5km East of Buninyong. With luck, on a clear day you can see the tall buildings in Melbourne. [See photo at the Buninyong Information Centre] One of the few volcanos in Victoria with its native vegetation intact, it provides a major koala habitat.
